Itinerary

Delta Waterfront Adventures Safaris itineraries are made to make you visit wonderful and unforgettable southern Africa nature and it will be an pleasure working with you on what will be an absolute fantastic trip.

The Big Five itinerary

Arrive at Maun International Airport at your own arrangements, where you will be met by our general manager with a sign with the company name on it. You will be transferred by a private vehicle to Okavango River Lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 2

Wake up at 0600HRS for breakfast and have your luggage ready at 0730HRS for departure. Leave Maun at 1000HRS to Moremi Game Reserve where you will spend two nights.

Day 3 and 4

Moremi Game Reserve is one of the great places to visit in the Okavango Delta. The activities consist of morning and afternoon game drives in open landcruiser accompanied by an experienced guide. This is a place where guests will enjoy wildlife viewing. Buffalo, reedbuck, lechwe, impala, zebra, hippo, hyena, cheetah, lion and leopard among the major game attractions of the area. You will spend two nights in this wonderful paradise.

Day 5, 6 and 7

Wake up at 0600HRS for breakfast and have your luggage ready before your last game drives in Moremi. You will be wonderfully driven to Savuti for a 2 night stay.
Arrive at Savuti and you will go for afternoon game drive. Savuti is located in the Linyanti Reserve adjoining Botswana’s Chobe National Park. Activities include day and night game drives, there is a hide here where guests can enjoy Botswana’s big game and one of the best places in the country to see predators. There is also a good concentration of plains game in the area. You ill spend two nigths in this pristine place.

Day 8 and 9

Wake up at 0600HRS for a morning drive and your luggage ready for departure. Chobe National Park will be our next destination. The home of the African elephant. Arrive at Chobe National Park for afternoon game drive. The Chobe National Park is home to the giant African elephant but it is also a place where you can view buffalo, reedbuck, lechwe, impala, zebra, hippo, lion an leopard amongst the major game attractions

 

4×4 exploration itinerary

This is a typical daily safari itinerary and remember that the itinerary might vary between places and the time might differ due to seasons. I.e. winter or summer schedule.

Day 1

Upon arrival at the palce of destination you will go for game drive depending on the time of arrival.

Lunch will be served at 1100HRS after your morning game drive. Relax, unwind and enjoy the beginning of a wonderful stay in the bush.

High tea will be served at 0300HRS followed by an afternoon/evening activity and depart on your activity. At sunset, stop in the bush while sipping cocktails and watch the sun as it sinks in the horizon, when the dark approaches. The ranger will scan the bush with a powerful spotlight (where allowed) and will pont out the elusive nocturnal wildlife.

Also be sure to look out for the milky way, a truly spectacular sight or try to find the southern cross.

0700HRS return to camp just in time to bath and refresh up for dinner.

0630HRS cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are served around the fire.

0800HRS A delicious dinner prepared by our bush chef and his team will be served under the stars. Superb food and wines are yet another highlight of the bush experience. After dinner, enjoy digestives and coffee while seated around the fire under the African sky. When you decide is bedtime indicate to your ranger who will escort you to your tent.

Day 2

You will be woken up early (5 or 6 am) by a shout outside your tent. Normally your alarm clock will not go away untill they are sure you are awake. Respond to them and assure you are on your way.

Breakfast will be served  consisting of tea, coffee, toasts and biscuits around the fire.

0530-0630HRS depart on your morning activity, during the activity there will be usually a stop in the bush for more refreshments.

1000-1100HRS an approcimate time when you return to camp from morning activity. Then shortly thereafter a delicious buffet lunch will be served.

Take a siesta to make up that wake up call and you will meet up for tea again.

This daily safari itinerary may differ according to places.

 

Mokoro and cultural itinerary

This itinerary offers all of the activities in different destinations and cultural explore to Okavango Delta Water channels.

Arrive at Maun International Airport at your own arrangements, where you will be met by our general manager with a sign with the company name on it. You will be transferred by a private vehicle to Okavango River Lodge where you will spend the night.

Day 1

Okavango River Lodge is one of the best lodges in Maun, located in the banks of the Thamalakane River. The lodge offers accomodation consisting of eight spacious walk-in tents. Each tent has tea and coffee making facilities, an electronic safe, internet access and satellite television. The lodge also comprises of bar, lounge, self catering and a swimming pool. You will spend one night here and the next morning you will leave for Moremi (meals and drinks not included)

Day 2, 3, 4 and 5

Wake up and have your luggage ready for departure. You will be collected by a 4×4 vehicle to Moremi Game Reserve where you will spend 3 nights.
Moremi Game Reserve is one of the big tourisme attractions in the country, with its high concentration of wildlife. The wildlife in this area is unsurpassed, there are the big five, a plethore of predators. Great herds of antelope and approcimately 600 bird species as well as other creatures which makes it the place to visit. You will spend three nights in this reserve.
Wake up you last day and have your luggage ready for departure after your morning game drive. Then you will be heading to NG32.
NG32 gives the guest an opportunity to view the Okavango Delta from a different perspective. Delta Waterfront Safaris Adventures offers both water and land activities in the NG32 concession.
Mokoro (dug out canoes) traverse the food plains under the guidance of a poler from the Bayei tribe, who have been using mokoros as their form of transport for hundreds of years. Motorised boats take guests onto the larger and deeper areas of water.
Another activity is walking safaris where you will be accompanied by a professional guide, to feel and touch African soil and you will visit one of the villages in the Delta where you will learn their way of life.
Your last night will be of entertainment where you will ben entertained by the Bayei tribe with the singing, dancing and story telling. This is the best place to visit to see the way of life the Bayei tribe (one of the Bantu speaking tribes).
On your last day you will do mokoro activity and you will head to Maun, where you will connect with Air Botswana to fly to South Africa.
